Racing partnership puts students in the fast lane

RedSeal Racing expands its experience placements programme and continues to deliver on its purpose through a new partnership with Sheffield Hallam University:

● The unique partnership will provide students with placement and development opportunities

● Students from across a range of disciplines will be involved

● Improving diversity in motorsport is a key aim of the partnership

Building on our partnership with Racing Pride, this new partnership with Sheffield Hallam University will further develop our commitment to a more inclusive sport by introducing the sport and the world of motor racing to students.

This new partnership will create unique opportunities for students to contribute to engineering projects that will drive the team forward, including working on the development of our race cars.

Marketing and management students from the University’s Sheffield Business School will also be able to apply their skills in a real-life motorsport environment.

Sheffield Hallam University is one of the UK’s largest and most diverse universities. They provide people from all backgrounds with the opportunity to acquire the skills, knowledge and experience to succeed at whatever they choose to do. This new partnership continues to deliver on those points and their purpose to “transform lives”.

As part of the partnership, the RedSeal Racing cars and teamwear will display the University’s logo.

Patrick Seal, co-founder of RedSeal Racing said:

"Finding partners with shared thinking and ambitions can be difficult but with Hallam University that just wasn’t the case. Hallam’s student demographic is hugely diverse. So, through our joint programme, across a wide range of courses, we’ll give students the best chance of being prepared for their future careers; ultimately leading to a more inclusive sport. Which is RedSeal’s purpose. We can’t wait to get this exciting partnership into gear and show how powerful Inclusion & Diversity can be”

Damion Taylor, Course Leader at Sheffield Business School said:

“This is an exciting and unique opportunity for students studying a range of programmes at the University. Through this partnership with RedSeal Racing, students will be able to develop their skills in a real-world environment and help take a national motorsport team to the next level.”
